Do you do Sketch Tuesdays?

Wow, it's been a while since my last post. I'll give an update later, but right now I'm in the dog house and need to do some damage control!

My kids LOVE to draw. It's what they do all day long. Marc can't bring home paper from the recycling bin at work fast enough to keep up with these three. So when I discovered Sketch Tuesday I thought it would be a fun opportunity to get the kids to draw things they wouldn't normally think of. Ryne especially draws the same things over and over. These days most of his drawings are of Wall-E characters.

Sketch Tuesday is a fun activity run by Harmony Art Mom in which every week she gives a new theme, and you submit your sketches by Monday for her weekly Tuesday slide show. This last week's theme was something salty.

So why am I in the dog house? Because I emailed the sketches yesterday afternoon, but never came back to the computer to make sure the email went through. It didn't, so I get the bad mom award. This was Ryne and Grace's first time to participate, so they were especially excited. Therefore, I'm posting their sketches here in hopes that it might make up for my blunder, if just a little bit.

And if you don't already do Sketch Tuesdays, go check it out!

Update: Special thanks to Harmony Art Mom (aka Barb) who offered to include the late sketches in the slide show!!! It's good to be out of the dog house, especially since it's cold and snowy here today. I am, however, leaving this post up to 1) prove that I am alive, and 2) encourage you to sketch with us next week!

  3. Kellie,

Those are great sketches even if they are late.

Thanks for the congrats. I am working on getting all my homeschooling links back in there. :)

I didn't even know about Sketch Tuesdays. I will have to check that out.
